AIESEC NAC Faci Team!

NAC Faci Team '05

I'd like to send a big Thank You to the AIESEC NAC Faci team.

I feel so honored to receive the Global Ambassador Award.

Special thanks to Anisha, my TN manager and sweet friend. Your reasons in nominating me for the award show how passionate we can be in something we really enjoy doing.

Matching my first 3 TN's as a trainee! Crazy…

Helping to facilitate the National Ambassadors Camp was a memorable learning experience and I absolutely enjoyed being the in ‘Jungle’ with such an awesome team! –minus the mosquitoes and moths in the shower.

Anyways, I’m really having an amazing traineeship. I’m learning about a different culture, I get challenging work experience, I’m meeting people from various parts of the globe, and I’m involved in AIESEC.

1 1/2 Days...

The countdown continues...

Happy Birthday Camille!

Mille, originally uploaded by magsombol.

Camille took the phone from Dad and said, "Auntie Jill. Say Happy Birthday to Mille!...Say Happy Birthday to Me!"

-and that was the end of our conversation.

I love this princess!

Let's Catch Up!

Just wanted to let you all know that I just got my new "SkypeIn" number. I chose a 404 area code so everyone in Atlanta can call me for free. =)

404.963.8754

I love it! As long as I have my computer on and I'm free to chat, I can pick up your call directly from my computer. Even though I'm here in Kuala Lumpur, it'll seem like you're calling an Atlanta number. Oh yeah! I also have v-mail so you can leave me a message if I'm not online or I'm not able to talk when you call.

I love technology!

Catch up with you soon.

p.s. keep in mind that I'm 12 hours ahead of EST/Atlanta time. So no calling at 3 in the after noon your time...because I'll be catching my zzzzzz in KL

If you are interested in getting a Skype account, click on the link I have in the righthand side bar. Calls from 'computer to computer' are free! This' how I've been keeping in touch with family since I've been here.

Expat Pool Party #3

International Makan Day 2 (Expat Pool Party #3) is set for this Saturday.

KL Expats

The first time I went, there were about 30 people there...and I arrived a little late.

2nd pool party, a.k.a was International Makan Day 1, about 50 Expats and locals showed up.

This one should have even more...

They are so much fun and it's a great networking event. Everyone brings a dish from their own country, and we always end up with more food and drinks for the number of people that attend.

Passion Reborn

I purchased a book a few days ago

and I can't seem to put it down

I lose sleep as I keep turning the pages

I tell myself "only one more chapter"

but I keep reading.

I want to know what's about to happen next.

What is going on with each character? Where is the author taking me?

I'm so exhausted from my day

Internet at home hasn't been working for 2 days

So I've been going to smoky Starbucks to sip on my Rhumba Frappaccino

as I answer emails all day

I make small talk with a newly arrived trainee in the evening

now it's almost midnight

My eyes are about to close

I still need to shower

but I just need to read a few more chapters.

Georgia....Georrrrrgiaaaa....

...the whole day through....

Just an old sweet song...

...keeps Georgia On my Mind...
